By: Ayeleke Oladunni The Lagos state governor,Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday promises to tackle drug abuse in the state.  He made this statement at an inauguration at the 'Lagos state kick against Drug ' ( LASKADA).Akinwunmi who was represented by the state secretary added that the menace of drug abuse in the state is becoming worrisome and also on the high side. He maintains that the establishment of the Youth recreational centres across the 57 local government council was meant for relaxation and not a place to engage in the taking of illegal drugs and other illegal activities. The wife of the Governor Akinwunmi Bolanle pleaded that people should not assume the eradication of drug abuse in Lagos state is the responsibility of the Government alone,she appealed to all to join hands with the government of Lagos state to put an end to this menace. The Post Graduate Diploma students of the Nigerian institute of Journalism on Tuesday protested against the school Management over the sudden change of their examination timetable.  The examination which commenced on Monday 11th of June went without hitches until Wednesday 13th of June 2018 when the management came up with another timetable having effected some  changes. According to the previous timetable schedule,students were expected to have a paper on Monday but because of the recent declaration of a public holiday by the Federal Government , the paper scheduled on Monday was brought back to the 14th of June 2018.   Students writing exam in the dark. BY: AYELEKE OLADUNNI The National Examination Council(NECO) has shifted the scheduled time table for English Language examination on Thursday. The examination was shifted from the normal time 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. It should be recalled that similar occurrences have been noticed in the conduct of this years Senior School Certificate Examination, Geography which was slated for 2 p.m was not taken until 7 p.m running to 9:00 p.m .Students had to keep vigils to write the examination.
