The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha had on Monday opened and handed over a multi million naira office complex to the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ)

The handling over was done at a media summit organized by the union with the theme 'Media and credible Leadership’. The Governor who handed the building over to the Chairman Innocent Igwe, said: 'The disturbing impression in the country that every leader is bad or corrupt is not good for our nation ' such impression does not augur well for the country's leaders especially outside the shores of the country and as a result he would have preferred the theme to be structured" Media and Leadership or Credible Leadership" because credible media practices gives room for credible leadership.

Most of the time, leadership remains the focus on everyone's mind and they tend to look at the leadership and not looking at the factors that make leadership.' Okorocha urged all Nigerian to start presenting their leaders in the right light instead of presenting them as devils. Leaders who make sacrifices are those who would make history.

He charged Journalist to do more of Investigative Journalism especially as the country moves closer to the 2019 general elections.

Commissioner for Information, Professor Nnamdi Obiareri commended the state chapter of the NUJ for organizing the programme, stressing that the Okorocha led administration has provided a good environment for Journalist to strive in the state.
