NECO SHIFTS SCHEDULED EXAMINATION TIME- TABLE AGAIN

The National Examination Council(NECO) has shifted the scheduled time table for English Language examination on Thursday.

The examination was shifted from the normal time 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m.
It should be recalled that similar occurrences have been noticed in the conduct of this years Senior School Certificate Examination, Geography which was slated for 2 p.m was not taken until 7 p.m running to 9:00 p.m .Students had to keep vigils to write the examination.

Students who were interviewed expressed their displeasure at the development saying that to achieve success in such examination may be difficult considering the fact that the examination was written under a tensed condition.

One of the schools in Yewa South Local Government of Ogun State, Poly International College, Ilaro was visited, the Principal Mr. Wale Olaode said, such had never happened before in the history of NECO exams, but they were able to rescue the situation by turning on the generating set for the students’ use because it was already sunset.

The supervisor allocated to the center attributed the problems to Logistics; he hopes that the students will be able to compose themselves because no extra time would be given to them, coupled with the fact that many of the students were still observing the holy Ramadan fasting when the English question paper was brought. The exam supervisor Mr Akintemi Tajudeen prayed for the students to come out in flying colours and also advised NECO body to put in more effort and ensure adequate logistics planning to avoid future re occurrences.
